Sfantu Gheorghe Marine and Fluvial Research Station is placed in the centre of the village, two kilometers far from Danube mouth and resort beach.
There are 6 rooms housing three bedrooms, a coastal geomorphology work room, a coastal ecology laboratory and a desk space for research students and visiting scholars working on coastal projects.
